Belly Dancing

I managed to capture a few seconds of Bennett moving around this morning. If you look at the side of my stomach when he moves, I'm pretty sure that's a foot :)

8 Months!

32 weeks now! Woo hoo - that means hopefully only 8 weeks or less until we get to meet our little guy. We are super excited! 

These days he weighs around 4lbs and is about 17inches long. He now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair! So cool. I hope these next few weeks go by super fast :)

RBC Shower

We were so, so blessed this weekend by our RBC church family that threw us a baby shower. We got lots of great things for Bennett and we actually feel like we are prepared for him to arrive now! (Aside from a few essentials we still have left!). Nursery pictures to come soon!

Ok, so as you may know - when people are taking random candid pictures of you, you become quite aware of all the strange faces you make.  Here are some classic Kev & Brooke faces I just couldn't resist posting. The last one is my favorite :)

4 Years!

So I'm publishing this post a bit late because something was wrong with Blogger when I logged in to post this on our actual anniversary. But anyhoo - Happy 4 YEAR Anniversary to my sweet husband!

He went to Brueggers the day before so I could have my favorite bagel for breakfast, wrote me a sweet note, and had these pretty flowers all waiting for me when I woke up that morning. I'd say he's a keeper ;)

I'm so blessed with such a wonderful husband and so thankful for these last 4 years (that have gone by so fast!). I can't wait for many more. Love you babe!

Girlfriends Shower

This past weekend my sweet friends Rachel, Ashley, and Christy threw me a baby shower with just my girlfriends. It was so so sweet, and they did a fabulous job with everything.

The shower had a "Hungry Caterpillar" theme, which was so cute! Here's a look at some of the decorations they had up everywhere:

Did you see the card next to the cake? How sweet that Christy had the cake sent "all the way from India" :) hehe. So sweet!! And by the way - that might have been the best cake I have ever eaten - it's Devils food cake with Oreo buttercream icing. Ohh yeah, I know your mouth is watering, and you should know it tasted just as good as it sounds!

They also had some fun games planned - in this one, everyone had to make their own "baby" out of playdough and I got to choose my favorite (without seeing who made which one of course). I chose Ashley's "sumo" baby as the winner - it had a HUGE diaper :)

I also opened lots of wonderful baby gifts!! This baby is going to be spoiled for sure... that is, if mommy doesn't steal all his smell-good Aveeno lotion and Lavander Johnson baby wash before he gets here ;)

And guess who woke up at 3AM in India to come to the shower? Sweet Christy! I have such wonderful friends!! I was wishing we had 5 more laptops to Skype in my other missing overseas friends - Charity, Stephanie, Erin, Leigh, Amy - I SO missed you guys!!

30 weeks

Just a photo update for ya - 30 weeks now! Yikes!

28 Weeks - 7 Months!

That's right! 7 Months down, another hopefully 11-12 weeks to go! We're in the home stretch now, the third trimester! 

Little man weighs just over 2lbs and is almost 15 inches long (if you stretched him out!). He can now blink his eyes and is even growing eyelashes (just like his aunt Christy ;) haha.

We're gearing up for the end now - I'm sure that belly's gonna really shoot out there in the next few weeks. Thankfully I'm still feeling really good - other than the usual rib pain.

There's still lots to do before Bennett arrives. Please keep praying for a healthy delivery and for a healthy baby!!
